
DOHA, July 27 (HS/RIA Novosti) - Saudi Arabia will respond to the recent attacks on its oil infrastructure launched by alleged pro-Iranian groups based on Iraqi territory, the Saudi Foreign Ministry said in a statement on Monday.
The Foreign Ministry expresses the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's strongest condemnation of the reprehensible drone attacks carried out by Iran-backed militias operating in Iraq. The Kingdom reaffirms its unwavering determination to safeguard its security and sovereignty, deter aggressors, and exercise its right to respond to the sources of the attack, the ministry said in a statement published on X.
Earlier in the day, Saudi Defense Ministry spokesman Major General Turki Al-Maliki said that the country's air defense forces had intercepted several drones launched from Iraq in an attempt to attack oil facilities in Riyadh and the east of the country.
