
Jammu, 27 July (H.S.): Police have recovered a revolver and a pistol from the possession of gangster Happy Choudhary alias Gugli, who was arrested recently from Kanchak area of the district.
Officials said the recovery was made late Saturday night from Ring Road area on the basis of information provided by Happy Choudhary alias Gugli and his associates, who were arrested on the intervening night of July 21 and 22 from Kanchak area of the district and remanded to seven-day police custody.
They said further investigation of the accused is ongoing.
Pertinently, Gugli is the key accused in connection with an assault on two brothers-Paras Sharma and Rishu Sharma of Sure Chak, Mandal-at Haripur, Phallain Mandal area on May 23, 2026.
While three people allegedly involved in the crime-Rajinder Kumar alias Babbu, Raghuvir and Shivam Choudhary-were arrested on May 24, Gugli and two of his associates, Bunty Choudhary and Vishal, were arrested on the intervening night of July 21 and 22 from Kanchak area, where they were hiding in the residence of a relative of Gugli.
