Chandigarh, 27 July (H.S.): Bharatiya Janata Party Punjab President Kewal Singh Dhillon

today held a detailed meeting with the Prime Minister of India, Narendra

Modi, in New Delhi. During the meeting, extensive discussions were held on

Punjab's overall development, the welfare of its people, and the state's bright

future.

During the interaction, Dhillon apprised the Prime Minister

of Punjab's current situation, including the state's economy, industrial

sector, the concerns of farmers and labourers, the aspirations of youth, law

and order, the menace of gangsterism, and several other important issues.

Speaking about the meeting, Dhillon said it was held in a

highly positive and constructive atmosphere, and the Prime Minister listened to

every issue with great seriousness. He said that Prime Minister Modi is deeply

concerned about Punjab and is already well aware of the state's prevailing

circumstances. During the discussion, the Prime Minister also shared his

experiences of working in Punjab as a BJP karyakarta. Dhillon said that despite

occupying the country's highest office, Prime Minister Modi remains closely

connected with Punjab at the grassroots level.

Kewal Singh Dhillon said that due to the failures and

directionless policies of the present Aam Aadmi Party government, Punjab is

steadily falling behind both economically and administratively. Farmers and

labourers, who form the backbone of the state's economy, are passing through a

period of severe distress, while the AAP government has confined itself to

false claims and publicity. He further said that the deteriorating law and

order situation and poor industrial policies have forced industries to move out

of Punjab, leaving the state's youth struggling in search of employment.

Dhillon said that he discussed with the Prime Minister

special initiatives for the welfare of farmers and labourers, expansion of

industries in Punjab, attracting fresh investments, and restoring Punjab as one

of the country's leading industrial hubs, so that the future of the state's

youth can be secured.

He further stated that just as Gujarat, and later the entire

country, witnessed unprecedented development and progress under the leadership

of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Punjab too now needs a BJP double-engine

government so that the state can achieve similar milestones of growth and

prosperity.

Dhillon said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visionary

leadership and unwavering commitment towards Punjab are inspiring and will

provide a new direction to the state's development.

He added that while the present state government has failed

on every front, the Bharatiya Janata Party remains fully committed to serving

the people, accelerating Punjab's development, and bringing the state back on

the path of progress with complete dedication and sincerity.

Dhillon concluded by saying that under the leadership of

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Bharatiya Janata Party will establish a

double-engine government in Punjab based on its proven model of development.
