New Delhi, 25 July (H.S.): The social media campaign Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) on Saturday expressed confidence that its two remaining key demands would also be fulfilled soon following the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.

In a post on X, the CJP said that one of its three principal demands had now been met—the resignation of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. However, it said two other demands remain pending. These include providing compensation of ₹1 crore to the families of all students who died by suicide and ensuring that no action is taken against any student who participated in the protests.

Apart from these three demands, the CJP said another demand also remains unresolved. It has sought a public apology from the Rapid Action Force (RAF) and the Delhi Police. According to the CJP, the protesters at Jantar Mantar, as well as people across the country, are still awaiting action on the remaining demands.

Notably, on Friday, CJP spokespersons Sourav Das and Ashutosh Ranka held the second round of talks with Union Health Minister J.P. Nadda and Minister of State in the Prime Minister's Office Jitendra Singh at the Constitution Club. During the meeting, the CJP had stated that there could be no compromise on its demand for Dharmendra Pradhan's resignation.

The CJP had been staging a protest at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi, demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over the NEET paper leak issue. In addition, the group has called for comprehensive reforms in the country's education and examination system to prevent such irregularities in the future.
