New Delhi, 24 July (H.S.): The social media campaign Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) on Friday accused the government of promoting corruption instead of fixing accountability, asserting that its agitation would continue until Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan resigns.

CJP chief Abhijeet Dipke said in a post on X that the Education Secretary was transferred on Thursday night and replaced by an IAS officer from the Animal Husbandry Department, who, he alleged, has faced serious corruption charges involving several crores of rupees.

He said that the entire crisis surrounding the NEET paper leak and examination system was a result of widespread corruption within the system. Bringing in another officer allegedly facing serious corruption allegations in place of the previous official was a direct insult to the country’s youth, he claimed.

Questioning the government’s decision, Dipke asked whether the authorities expected the protesters to accept such an arrangement as a compromise. “This is not accountability. We will not stop until Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan resigns,” he said.

It may be noted that CJP has been staging a protest at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over the NEET paper leak issue. The organisation has also called for reforms in the country’s education and examination system to prevent such irregularities in the future.
