New Delhi, 21 July (H.S.): Rail traffic on the Ghaziabad-New Delhi railway section of the Delhi Division was disrupted on Tuesday after six loaded wagons of a goods train derailed. Following the incident, railway authorities intensified relief and restoration operations, leading to the cancellation, diversion, partial cancellation, and regulation of several trains. No casualty or injury has been reported in the accident.

According to Northern Railway, soon after receiving information about the derailment, the Divisional Railway Manager (DRM), Additional Divisional Railway Manager (ADRM), and other senior officials reached the spot and are supervising the restoration work.

The railway authorities informed that a total of 53 trains have been affected due to the incident. Of these, 24 trains have been diverted, 16 passenger trains have been completely cancelled, five trains have been partially cancelled, and the operation of eight trains has been regulated.

According to Northern Railway, the trains that have been completely cancelled include train numbers 64437 Ghaziabad-Delhi, 64402 Delhi-Shahibabad, 64411 Shahibabad-Delhi, 64408 Delhi-Ghaziabad, 64423 Ghaziabad-New Delhi, 64430 New Delhi-Ghaziabad, 64425 Ghaziabad-New Delhi, 64432 New Delhi-Ghaziabad, 64417 Ghaziabad-Delhi, 64439 Ghaziabad-Delhi, 64406 Delhi-Ghaziabad, 64401 Ghaziabad-Delhi, 64434 Delhi-Ghaziabad, and 64031 Ghaziabad-Sahibabad.

Apart from these, train number 64104 New Delhi-DKDE has been started from Ghaziabad, while train number 64109 DKDE-SSB has been short-terminated at Ghaziabad. Train number 64112 SSB-DKDE has been operated from Ghaziabad, train number 64152 Delhi-Aligarh Junction has been started from Ghaziabad, and train number 64053 Palwal-Ghaziabad has been operated only up to New Delhi.

Meanwhile, train number 54474 Saharanpur-Delhi Passenger has been diverted via the Sahibabad-Delhi Sarai Rohilla route.

Railway authorities have advised passengers to check the latest status of their trains before starting their journey to avoid inconvenience.
