Guwahati, 21 July (HS): Assam Forest Minister Jayanta Mallabarua visited the proposed Nalbari Reserved Forest in Lakhipur, the Rakhasini Reserved Forest and the historic Urpad Beel in Goalpara district to review the condition of the ecologically significant areas.

During the inspection, the minister asserted that no one would be allowed to destroy forest land under any circumstances. He stressed the government's commitment to protecting Assam's forest resources and ensuring strict action against activities that threaten the environment.

Baruah also announced that the government would implement special measures to mitigate the growing human-elephant conflict in the region, aiming to safeguard both wildlife and local communities.-----------
