Lucknow, 20 July (HS): On World Youth Skills Day, Chief

Minister Yogi Adityanath, in a Yogi ki Pati addressed to the

state's youth, described skill development as the greatest strength of a

developed Uttar Pradesh. He emphasized that every youth must learn at least one

skill, as this will not only enable them to find a job but also make them job

creators. On the occasion of World Youth Skills Day, Chief Minister Yogi

Adityanath wrote a Yogi ki Pati addressed to the state's youth,

conveying the message of skill development.

The Chief Minister said that he had the opportunity to meet

many young people from the state and hear their inspiring success stories. This

strengthened his belief that Uttar Pradesh, with its largest youth force in the

country, will play a leading role in building a developed India and a

trillion-dollar economy. The Chief Minister wrote that the foundation of this

belief is the eternal culture that places the highest value on work and skill.

From the life of Lord Shri Ram and the teachings of Lord Shri Krishna in the

Gita to the tradition of knowledge, crafts, trade, and efficiency, all have

contributed to the progress of society. He stated that the state government is

continuously making efforts to promote skill development. Under the Uttar

Pradesh State Rural Livelihood Mission, women in self-help groups have become

economically empowered. At the same time, initiatives like 'Kaushal Setu' and

'Kaushal Saarthi' have been started on 'World Youth Skills Day'.

The Chief Minister said that the state is becoming a hub of

IT, electronics, and artificial intelligence (AI). The One District, One

Product scheme has given traditional products global recognition. The

Tech Youth, Empowered Youth initiative is connecting the new

generation with future technologies. Schemes such as the Chief Minister's Youth

Entrepreneur Development Campaign, vocational education in polytechnic

institutions, Single Domain Skill training, and Finishing

School are preparing youth for employment and self-employment.

The Chief Minister urged the youth to acquire proficiency in

a skill along with their academic education. This skill will not only enable

them to find employment but also make them job creators. He said that the

availability of employment opportunities for millions of youth in the MSME

sector is a testament to the state's economic progress. Concluding his message,

the Chief Minister appealed to the youth to take advantage of skill development

schemes and to involve other youth as well. He said, Skill is the

foundation of self-reliance, the source of self-respect, and the greatest

strength of a developed Uttar Pradesh.

He mentioned in a post on X, “My esteemed fellow citizens of

the state, Our state, endowed with the country's greatest youthful strength, by

connecting with skills, will not only pave the way for a developed Uttar

Pradesh but also for building a one trillion dollar economy. By establishing

coordination between traditional skills and modern technology, the government

has transformed Uttar Pradesh into a 'Skill State' over the past 9 years.

Today, the state is establishing itself as an IT, electronics, and AI hub. Youth

should resolve that by learning at least one skill, they will actively

participate in the progress of society and the state. Remember, skill is the

foundation of self-reliance, the support of self-respect, and the greatest

asset of a state advancing on the path of development.”
