New Delhi, 20 July (H.S.):

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convenor and former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Monday strongly condemned the alleged lathi-charge and use of tear gas during the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) protesters’ march from Jantar Mantar to Parliament. He urged the Central government to set aside its “ego” and listen to the demands of the students.

In a post on social media platform X, Kejriwal targeted the Central government and alleged that students protesting peacefully were being treated like enemies and subjected to police action. He said that young people work hard for their examinations, but question papers are leaked before the tests.

Kejriwal said that when the youth come out on the streets seeking justice, the government responds with force instead of addressing their concerns.

Warning that growing anger among young people could have serious consequences, Kejriwal urged the government to abandon the path of suppression and engage in dialogue with students to understand their grievances.

He appealed to the government to listen to the voices of the country’s youth and address their concerns.
