Guwahati, 20 July (HS): Heavy overnight rainfall led to widespread waterlogging across several parts of Guwahati on Monday, disrupting normal life and causing artificial flooding in many low-lying areas.
Localities including Jorabat, Beharbari, Ahomgaon, Hatigaon, Garchuk, Survey, Maligaon, Jalukbari, Chanmari, Silpukhuri, Tarun Nagar, Anil Nagar, Nabin Nagar etc. were among the worst affected, with roads submerged under knee-deep water.
Residents were forced to wade through flooded streets as waterlogging severely affected vehicular movement and daily commuting across the city. Authorities are monitoring the situation as rainfall continues in parts of the city.------------
