Bhubaneswar, 19 July (H.S.): A state-level workshop on Mann Ki Baat was held at the party state office, where leaders highlighted the growing impact of the programme as a powerful medium of public engagement and inspiration.

Addressing the gathering, BJP State President and Rajya Sabha MP Manmohan Samal said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s “Mann Ki Baat” has deeply connected with people across the country. He noted that the programme, launched on October 3, 2014, serves as a historic initiative to directly communicate with citizens.

Samal emphasized that over the past 12 years, the Prime Minister has completed 135 editions of the programme, making him the only head of state in the world to sustain such a long-running public communication platform. Broadcast on the last Sunday of every month at 11 AM via radio and television, the programme has become widely popular among citizens, including the Indian diaspora.

He further stated that the upcoming 136th edition, scheduled for July 26, will once again see the Prime Minister addressing the nation. According to Samal, “Mann Ki Baat” has evolved into a mass movement, inspiring people and bringing forward grassroots innovators and unsung heroes from across the country.

Highlighting Odisha’s contributions, he said that the achievements of several individuals from the state have been showcased in the programme, bringing pride to its people. He called upon party workers to ensure that the programme reaches every household in the state.

The workshop was attended by Deputy Chief Minister K. V. Singh Deo, State General Secretary (Organisation) Manas Mohanty, Kandhamal MP and state coordinator of the programme Sukanta Panigrahi, ministers Sampad Chandra Swain and Ganesh Ram Singh Khuntia, Kalahandi MP Malvika Devi, along with several MLAs, party office bearers, spokespersons, and coordinators from various districts and constituencies.
