Processing Industries Chirag Paswan visited the Golden Temple in Amritsar on

Sunday and paid obeisance at the holy shrine. He offered prayers for the prosperity

of the country and the world, as well as for the welfare of all. On the

occasion, he also wore a turban as a mark of respect.

Speaking to the media, Paswan said that every visit to

the Golden Temple gives him a unique sense of energy, peace and spiritual

strength. He said that in view of the prevailing circumstances in the country

and society, there is a greater need for courage and positive energy, and he

had come to the Guru’s house with this prayer.

Party founder, the late Ram Vilas Paswan, remains his political ideal and

guiding force. He said the party is expanding its organisational base across

the country and will also reach out to the people of Punjab with a new vision

centred on development and public welfare.

He alleged that Punjab had not received its rightful

share and attention for several years. Targeting the Congress, Shiromani Akali

Dal and Aam Aadmi Party, Paswan said the governments led by these parties had

failed to deliver the expected results in important sectors such as education,

healthcare and employment.

Responding to a question regarding the ongoing protest

against the Central government at Jantar Mantar, Paswan said that peaceful

protest is a democratic right of every citizen. However, he added that lasting

solutions to problems cannot be achieved through protests alone and must emerge

through meaningful dialogue with the government.

He acknowledged that greater transparency and reforms

may be required in the education system. At the same time, he accused certain

political parties of attempting to gain political mileage from the agitation.

Paswan said that public interest should remain the top priority and that

problems can be resolved effectively only through constructive dialogue, mutual

understanding and a positive approach.
