
Guwahati/New Delhi, 19 July (HS): Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma has announced that a fourth Assam Bhawan will be constructed in New Delhi to cater to the growing needs of people from the state visiting the national capital.
The new Assam Bhawan will be built in the Dwarka Sector-17, with construction expected to begin between January and February next year.
The Chief Minister said the new facility will feature a Namghar and Guru Asan, reflecting Assam's rich cultural and spiritual heritage.
During his visit to New Delhi, Dr. Sarma inspected the third Assam House, which is in the final stage of construction in Dwarka, as well as the land earmarked for the proposed fourth Assam Bhawan. He said the project would further strengthen facilities for Assamese residents and visitors in the national capital while promoting the state's cultural identity.------------
