Guwahati, 19 July (HS): The Assam unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has launched the Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Prashikshan Maha Abhiyan across all 39 organisational districts of the state to strengthen the party's organisational structure and equip its workers with ideological and administrative training.

According to party spokesperson Pranjal Kalita, the two-day residential training programme, which began on July 5, has already been completed in 27 organisational districts. State BJP president Dilip Saikia, along with MPs, MLAs and senior office-bearers, have been participating as trainers while also attending the sessions as trainees in their respective districts.

The training focuses on familiarising party workers with the BJP's history, ideology, organisational structure, discipline and functioning. Discussions are also being held on the responsibilities of party workers and strategies to further strengthen the organisation.

More than 4,000 district and state-level office-bearers, including district executives, morcha leaders, mandal presidents and general secretaries, elected representatives, members of autonomous councils, panchayat and municipal representatives, and newly inducted party workers have participated in the programme so far.

The party also organised special exhibitions at the training camps showcasing the BJP's history, organisational growth and the welfare initiatives of the government. The BJP said the campaign is aimed at making the organisation more dynamic, stronger and people-centric in the coming days.----------
