
Guwahati, 19 July (HS): Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma on Sunday said the state is making significant investments to build a robust semiconductor ecosystem with the objective of developing a skilled local workforce for the sector.
In a social media post, the Chief Minister stated that the government has already made considerable progress towards creating a strong semiconductor ecosystem in Assam.
He further said that the state also aims to enable Assam's Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to manufacture the smaller components and ancillary products required by the semiconductor industry, ensuring greater participation of local industries in the emerging high-tech sector.-----------
