New Delhi, July 12 (HS): Union Minister for Labour and Employment and Youth Affairs and Sports Mansukh Mandaviya will inaugurate seven Employees' State Insurance (ESI) healthcare projects across the country on Tuesday from the Employees' State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) Hospital at Sanathnagar in Hyderabad.

According to the Ministry of Labour and Employment, the projects, with a combined investment of around ₹668 crore, are expected to strengthen healthcare infrastructure and benefit nearly 53 lakh Employees' State Insurance (ESI) beneficiaries across the country.

Mandaviya will physically inaugurate the newly constructed Outpatient Department (OPD) block at the ESIC Hospital, Sanathnagar, while dedicating six other healthcare facilities to the nation through virtual mode.

The ministry said the projects are aimed at expanding access to quality healthcare services for insured workers and their families under the ESI scheme while enhancing the capacity of the ESIC healthcare network.

The inauguration forms part of the Centre's efforts to strengthen social security and healthcare infrastructure for workers covered under the Employees' State Insurance scheme.
