Belagavi, 12 July (H.S.): The three-day annual Akhil Bharatiya Prant Pracharak Baithak of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) concluded on Sunday in Belagavi, Karnataka. The meeting deliberated extensively on several key issues, including expansion of RSS shakhas, programmes marking the Sangh's centenary year, the Census, demographic imbalance, drug de-addiction and social awareness.

A total of 226 functionaries from across the country, including RSS Sarsanghchalak Dr. Mohan Bhagwat and Sarkaryavah Dattatreya Hosabale, participated in the meeting.

Releasing a press statement, RSS Akhil Bharatiya Prachar Pramukh Sunil Ambekar said the meeting reviewed 83 Sangh Shiksha Vargs and 12 Karyakarta Vikas Vargs conducted across the country after March 2026. A total of 18,842 volunteers underwent training in areas such as shakha management, the Sangh's working methodology, rural development, family awareness, disaster management and environmental conservation.

He said the meeting decided to prepare a special action plan to maximise shakha expansion during September. The programmes conducted so far as part of the RSS centenary year were reviewed, while plans were finalised for the remaining events. Discussions were also held on involving people who came in contact with the Sangh during the centenary programmes in social service activities and the Panch Parivartan initiative. The meeting also deliberated on the Sarsanghchalak's travel programme for 2026–27.

The meeting discussed the current national situation, particularly issues related to the Census and challenges arising from demographic imbalance. Expressing concern over the growing menace of drug abuse, the participants stressed the need to accord priority to efforts aimed at building a drug-free society. Discussions were also held on programmes to mark the 650th birth anniversary year of Sant Shiromani Ravidas Maharaj.

The meeting also expressed concern over the reported irregularities in counting donations from the donation boxes at the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple in Ayodhya. Expressing confidence that the ongoing SIT and police investigation, initiated at the request of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, would reach a decisive stage, the meeting hoped that the Trust would take necessary measures to prevent any recurrence of such incidents and ensure that the faith and devotion of millions of Ram devotees remain unharmed, Sunil Ambekar said in the press statement.
