Bhubaneswar, 10 July (H.S.): The Odisha government will release the fifth instalment of financial assistance under the flagship Subhadra Yojana on the occasion of Rakhi Purnima on August 28. Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida has directed officials to complete all pending verification and beneficiary validation processes by July 25 to ensure timely disbursement of funds.

While reviewing the progress of the women’s welfare scheme, Parida informed that the state has received 3,17,966 fresh applications during the financial year 2026–27. The review meeting focused on the status of Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT), e-KYC completion, field verification, NPCI mapping, payment file preparation, bank account linking and other related activities.

The Deputy Chief Minister directed officials to activate DBT facilities for 82,036 beneficiaries and expedite biometric authentication and e-KYC completion for 28,611 applicants. She also instructed officials to prioritise field verification of 3,53,059 pending applications.

To complete the verification process within the deadline, block-level teams led by Block Development Officers (BDOs) and Block Subhadra Committees have been assigned the responsibility of conducting field inquiries. Their reports will be reviewed by district-level committees headed by district collectors before being sent to the Women and Child Development Department for final approval.

Parida emphasised that all pending tasks must be completed by July 25 so that eligible beneficiaries receive the fifth instalment on time on Rakhi Purnima.

She also urged beneficiaries whose status on the Subhadra portal is displayed as “Non-Biometric e-KYC Pending” to complete the required verification process at the earliest. According to officials, around 28,621 beneficiaries, mostly those outside the National Food Security Act (NFSA) coverage, are yet to complete mandatory e-KYC.

“I request beneficiaries whose status on the Subhadra portal shows ‘Non-Biometric e-KYC Pending’ to visit their nearest Mo Seva Kendra or Jana Seva Kendra and complete the process at the earliest,” Parida said.

The Odisha government has been taking steps to ensure smooth implementation of Subhadra Yojana and timely financial assistance to eligible women beneficiaries across the state.
