Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday shared a Sanskrit Subhashitam on X, highlighting the ideals of selfless service, public welfare and unwavering dedication. Emphasising the importance of altruistic action, he said that selfless deeds constitute humanity's greatest strength and reaffirmed the nation's commitment to improving the lives of every citizen through a spirit of service.

The Subhashitam shared by the Prime Minister reads:

“हितं यत्सर्वभूतानामात्मानश्च सुखावहम्।

तत्कुर्यादीश्वरे ह्येतन्मूलं सर्वार्थसिद्धये।।

Explaining its meaning, the Prime Minister said that a person should perform only those actions that promote the welfare of all living beings and bring peace and happiness to one's own soul. Such conduct, he said, represents true devotion to God and forms the foundation of all success and spiritual fulfilment.

In his message, Prime Minister Modi said, Selfless action is humanity's greatest strength. With this very spirit of service and dedication, we are moving forward with the resolve to make the life of every individual better.

The Prime Minister's message underscored the values of selfless service, compassion and public welfare, reaffirming his government's commitment to working for the well-being and progress of every citizen through dedicated service.
