Bhubaneswar, 10 July (H.S.): Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Friday lauded the deepening strategic ties between India and Australia, highlighting the evolution of bilateral cooperation in the field of nuclear energy.
In a post on social media platform X, the Chief Minister recalled that Australia had declined uranium exports to India in 2010 but has now embraced a new phase of nuclear energy cooperation with the country.
Calling the development a reflection of India's rising global influence, Majhi credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership for strengthening India's international standing and expanding strategic partnerships.
The same Australia that ruled out uranium sales to India in 2010 is today opening a new chapter of nuclear energy cooperation with India. From a firm 'No' to a landmark partnership, India's growing global stature and the strength of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji's leadership have made the impossible possible, proving once again that 'Modi Hai Toh Mumkin Hai', the Chief Minister said in his post.
