Hyderabad, July 1 (HS): Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Wednesday reviewed revenue mobilisation with senior officials and directed key departments to strengthen revenue collection while ensuring there are no leakages.

During a high-level meeting, the Chief Minister instructed departments, including the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA), Telangana Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (TGIIC), Commercial Taxes, Excise and Mines & Geology, to maintain strict vigilance and accountability in revenue generation.

He directed officials to establish a dedicated chasing cell for continuous follow-up and monitoring of revenue-related matters to improve efficiency and expedite collections.

Emphasising the importance of resource mobilisation for the state's development, Revanth Reddy said departments should enhance their performance and ensure effective implementation of revenue collection mechanisms.

The Chief Minister also directed officials to treat land acquisition as a priority for infrastructure and development projects, assuring all necessary government support to departments in achieving their targets.

He warned that negligence in revenue generation and fund mobilisation would not be tolerated and asked officials to ensure strict compliance with the government's directions.
