New Delhi, 01 July (H.S.): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday extended warm birthday greetings to former Vice President M. Venkaiah Naidu, lauding his decades-long contribution to public life and his unwavering commitment to national development and the welfare of the underprivileged.

In a message shared on the occasion of Naidu's birthday, the Prime Minister praised the former Vice President for his distinguished public service and his enduring dedication to the country's progress.

PM Modi said Venkaiah Naidu has consistently demonstrated a steadfast commitment to nation-building and has worked tirelessly for the upliftment of the downtrodden throughout his political and public career.

The Prime Minister also highlighted Naidu's long-standing interest in agriculture and rural development, describing his contribution to these sectors as particularly noteworthy. He said the former Vice President has always been a strong advocate for strengthening rural India and improving the lives of farmers and village communities.

Recalling their long professional association, PM Modi said he deeply cherishes the opportunity to have worked alongside Naidu for several years, describing the experience as personally enriching.

Conveying his best wishes, the Prime Minister prayed for Venkaiah Naidu's long, healthy, and fulfilling life.

M. Venkaiah Naidu served as the 13th Vice President of India from 2017 to 2022. Before assuming the constitutional office, he held several key positions in the Union government, including Minister for Urban Development, Housing and Urban Poverty Alleviation, Information and Broadcasting, and Parliamentary Affairs. He also served as the national president of the Bharatiya Janata Party and has remained a prominent voice for parliamentary traditions, rural development, and the promotion of Indian languages throughout his public life.
