New Delhi, June 5 (H.S.): On the occasion of World Environment Day, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) President Nitin Nabin planted a sapling at Nehru Park on Friday under the “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” (A Tree in Mother’s Name) campaign, reaffirming the commitment to environmental conservation and ecological sustainability.

Speaking to journalists on the occasion, Nabin said that the BJP has consistently promoted tree-plantation drives every year, but Prime Minister Narendra Modi has transformed the initiative into a nationwide people’s movement.

He stated that when the Prime Minister called upon citizens to plant a tree in their mother’s name, he created a deep emotional connection between the campaign and the people of the country. As a result, the initiative is rapidly evolving into a powerful mass movement driven by public participation. It is not only raising awareness about environmental protection but also inspiring citizens to contribute toward building a greener and more sustainable future.

The BJP President expressed confidence that people across the country would join the campaign by planting trees in honor of their mothers. He emphasized that environmental conservation has become a matter of global concern and noted that the Prime Minister’s initiative has now grown into a broad-based public campaign sustained by the active involvement of citizens.

Nabin urged people to plant as many trees as possible to protect the environment and ensure a greener future for generations to come.
