Guwahati, 03 June (HS): In a major success, Bashistha Police safely rescued four minor girls who had gone missing from the Guwahati city while on their way to school.

According to police sources, the girls, aged between 11 and 12 years and studying in Classes VI and VII, had gone missing on Monday, triggering concern among their families and the local community.

Following a swift investigation and coordinated efforts, Bashistha Police traced the girls to Howrah in the state of West Bengal and successfully rescued them. The girls were brought back safely and reunited with their families.

Police officials stated that further investigation is underway to ascertain the circumstances under which the girls left the city and to determine whether any individual or group was involved in the incident.-----------
