Sonitpur (Assam), 29 June (HS): Assam Agriculture Minister Pijush Hazarika on Monday visited world famous litchi orchards at Parmaighuli in Tezpur and interacted with farmers to review cultivation practices and discuss measures to boost production and exports of the globally renowned Tezpur litchi.

The Minister directed farmers to prepare at least two lakh litchi saplings for distribution across the state next year. He also announced that the Agriculture Department would soon hold a meeting with farmers and exporters, besides distributing spraying machines and other agricultural equipment to support litchi cultivation.-----------
