Lucknow, 26 June (HS): Yogi Adityanath, the Chief Minister
of Uttar Pradesh, strongly promotes anti-drug programs. On International Day
Against Drug addiction, he routinely stresses drug addiction as an obstacle to
societal progress, encouraging youth and residents to take pledges and create a
drug-free state.
On World Drug Day, CM regularly posts on social media, urging people to
increase awareness about the dangers of drugs and to emphasize health,
education, and job growth. The Uttar Pradesh government wholeheartedly supports
the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment's statewide program. It focuses
on public awareness campaigns, rallies, and mass commitments to promote a
healthy lifestyle. The state routinely holds large mass-participation fitness
and awareness activities. For example, activities such as the Namo Yuva Run in
Lucknow have been launched to integrate youth empowerment with the Nasha
Mukt concept.
UP CM mentioned in a post on X, “Addiction is an obstacle to
the development of the individual, society, and the nation. It weakens a
person's thinking, health, and future—all three. Let us, on the occasion of
'International Day Against Drug Abuse' today, raise awareness among every
individual towards a drug-free society and move towards a better tomorrow.”
