Mumbai, 23 June (HS): MVA representatives protested outside
the Maharashtra Assembly over growing inflation and fuel price hikes. Sunil
Prabhu and Ambadas Danve, leaders of the Shiv Sena (UBT), attended the
demonstration, hoisting a banner that said, A nation free of inflation, a
BJP-free India. “
This arrives during the current Assembly Session. The Centre had raised petrol
and diesel prices in response to the obstruction of the Strait of Hormuz, a
crucial oil transport route, during the West Asian crisis. On the opening day
of the Maharashtra Monsoon Assembly Session, opposition MLAs protested over the
subject of debt waivers for farmers. Aaditya Thackeray, a Shiv Sena (UBT) MLA, Congress
leader Vijay Wadettiwar and several other politicians protested the state
administration led by Devendra Fadnavis with the slogan Make the farmers'
7/12 land records clean.
Meanwhile, six UBT Sena MPs, including Sanjay Haribhau Jadhav, Bhausaheb
Rajaram Wakchaure, Omprakash Bhupalsingh Nimbalkar, Sanjay Dina Patil, Sanjay
Uttamrao Deshmukh, and Nagesh Bapurao Patil Ashtikar, were formally inducted
into the Shiv Sena led by Eknath Shinde. Shinde told a news conference that he
never leaves anything half-done and that Operation Tiger was a success.
