
Guwahati, 22 June (HS): Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) General Manager Chetan Kumar Shrivastava on Monday inspected Kamakhya Railway Station to review passenger management and operational arrangements for the Ambubachi Mela being held from June 22 to 26.
During the visit, he assessed crowd management, security, cleanliness, drinking water facilities, medical assistance and passenger amenities. He directed officials to maintain vigilance, ensure smooth train operations and provide prompt assistance to devotees.
NFR has introduced special unreserved trains and augmented the capacity of several regular services to handle the expected rush of pilgrims. The General Manager emphasized passenger safety, effective coordination among agencies and seamless service delivery throughout the mela period.----------
