'Better work results will be achieved only with a healthy

body and a calm mind': Additional Mission Director

Lucknow, 21 June (HS): On the occasion of the 12th

International Yoga Day, a special yoga session was organized on Sunday at the

Uttar Pradesh Skill Development Mission headquarters in Aliganj, Lucknow. The

entire UPSDM team, led by Additional Mission Director Pooja Mishra,

participated in the program and took the Fit to Skill pledge.

Under the guidance of a yoga instructor, all senior officers

and employees, including Additional Mission Director Pooja Mishra, practiced

various yoga asanas, including Tadasana, Vajrasana, and Bhujangasana. In

addition, pranayama and meditation sessions, including Kapalabhati,

Anulom-Vilom, and Bhramari, were also organized. The officers and employees

present were given detailed information about the physical and mental benefits

of each asana and pranayama and were advised to incorporate yoga into their

daily lives.

On this occasion, Additional Mission Director Pooja Mishra

said that yoga is not just a one-day practice, but the art of leading a

disciplined life. She added that the productivity of every employee working in

the skill development field will increase only when they are physically healthy

and mentally calm. Only a healthy body and a calm mind can lead to better work

results.

She urged all officers and employees to dedicate at least

15-20 minutes each day from their busy schedules to yoga. Our commitment to

fit to skill will only be fulfilled when we ourselves remain fit

and also convey the message of health along with skill to our youth.
