Appeal to youth to adopt yoga regularly: Minister Kapil Dev Agarwal

Lucknow, 21 June (HS): Fulfilling Prime Minister Narendra

Modi's resolve to make Yoga a mass movement and Chief Minister Yogi

Adityanath's vision of a healthy, strong and disease-free Uttar Pradesh, the

State Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Vocational Education, Skill

Development and Entrepreneurship, Kapil Dev Agarwal, today participated in a

grand mass yoga practice program organized in his charge district Bijnor on the

occasion of the 12th International Yoga Day.

The event, held in Bijnor, began with the lighting of a

lamp. Minister Kapil Dev Agarwal, along with thousands of students, NCC cadets,

representatives of voluntary organizations, officials, and ordinary citizens,

practiced various yoga postures and pranayama, including Tadasana, Vrikshasana,

Bhujangasana, Kapalabhati, and Anulom-Vilom.

On this occasion, Minister Kapil Dev Agarwal said that

thanks to the efforts of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, yoga has become India's

hallmark on the world stage. Yoga is India's 5,000-year-old cultural heritage,

not just a form of exercise, but the science of a healthy body, a calm mind,

positive thinking, and a balanced life. It is the simplest and most effective

way to overcome stress, depression, and lifestyle diseases.

He said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi

Adityanath, the state government is committed to spreading yoga to every

village with the goal of a healthy body. The Skill Development

Department has also incorporated yoga training into the curriculum at ITIs and

Skill Development Centers, so that youth become not only physically skilled but

also mentally strong.

Minister Agarwal specifically appealed to the youth, saying,

Healthy youth are the foundation of a self-reliant and developed India.

If the younger generation incorporates regular yoga into their daily routine,

it will not only lead to personal development but will also utilize their

energy in nation-building. He appealed to all residents of the state to

practice yoga for at least 30 minutes daily.
