New Delhi, 20 June (H.S.): Delhi Education Minister Ashish Sood on Saturday visited the CM Shri School examination centre at Pandara Road ahead of the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) re-examination scheduled for June 21.
Addressing reporters at the venue, Sood said the examination is being organised by the Ministry of Education with utmost care and vigilance. He said the Delhi Government has established a 'Cooling Zone' at every examination centre to provide relief to parents waiting outside in the prevailing heatwave conditions.
He said the initiative would enable parents to spend their waiting time comfortably while easing their anxiety, particularly for those travelling from distant areas to accompany candidates. Across all 97 examination centres in Delhi, the government has arranged approximately 2,000 square feet of dedicated space equipped with drinking water, shikanji (traditional lemonade), and other essential facilities.
Sood said he was inspecting the preparations along with the local Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) to ensure that all arrangements were in place. He added that another round of inspections would be conducted in the evening to verify that parents, especially those arriving from far-off locations, receive the best possible facilities.
Extending his best wishes to the candidates, the Education Minister said the Delhi Government wants every student to appear for the examination without any concerns and assured them that all necessary arrangements have been made for their convenience and comfort.
