
Lucknow, 18 June (HS): On his Jyoti Jyot Diwas (Martyrdom
Day), Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath honoured Guru Arjan Dev Ji,
the fifth Guru of the Sikh faith. He expressed his respects to Guru Arjan Dev
Ji using social media. CM Yogi stated that his great sacrifice for the
protection of Dharma, mankind, and truth is unprecedented in history. According
to him, Guru Ji's life will continue to show us the way of human service,
unity, and spiritual consciousness. Guru Arjan Dev Ji was the first martyr in
Sikhism. He authored the Adi Granth and built the Harmandir Sahib (Golden Temple)
at Amritsar.
UP CM remarked in a post on X, “On the Jyoti Jyot Day of
Guru Shri Arjan Dev Ji Maharaj, the fifth Guru of the Sikh Panth and a great
saint, millions of salutations. His supreme sacrifice for the protection of
religion, humanity, and truth is unparalleled in history. His life will
continue to illuminate the eternal path of human service, harmony, and
spiritual consciousness for us.”
