New Delhi, 17 June (H.S.): Delhi Environment Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa on Wednesday participated in a cleanliness drive organised at Nangia Park Chowk in the Model Town Assembly constituency to mark the completion of 12 historic years of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's tenure, defined by service, good governance, and development. Local MLA Ashok Goel was also present on the occasion.

Sirsa said in a post on X that the Swachh Bharat Mission had transformed cleanliness from a government programme into a nationwide people's movement. He stated that the campaign has strengthened the belief across the country that a clean environment is both the right and the responsibility of every citizen.

He further said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, the Delhi Government is working round the clock to make the national capital cleaner and more beautiful. Efforts are continuously being made to reduce the city's garbage mountains, strengthen sanitation systems, and improve public spaces through 24x7 operations.

Sirsa appealed to the people of Delhi to become more conscious about maintaining cleanliness in their surroundings. He said that with greater public participation, the goal of making Delhi cleaner and better can be achieved more rapidly.
