
Bhubaneswar, 17 June (H.S.): The Odisha government has put in place comprehensive security and administrative arrangements for the upcoming NEET re-examination scheduled for June 21, 2026.
Chief Secretary Anu Garg stated that all district collectors have been instructed to closely supervise preparations and ensure smooth conduct of the examination. She said the state has made extensive arrangements, including deployment of police personnel and home guards, with adequate numbers of women home guards assigned for frisking duties.
She further informed that security measures have also been strengthened for the safe transportation of question papers from examination centres to designated storage facilities under police escort.
In addition to security arrangements, the Commerce and Transport Department has announced that bus services will be provided free of cost for candidates appearing in the examination on the day of the test.
Facilities such as drinking water, sanitation, and other basic amenities have also been arranged at railway stations and all examination centres to ensure convenience for students.
The government has reiterated its commitment to ensuring a fair, secure, and hassle-free examination process across the state.
