
Mumbai, 17 June (HS): Union Railway Minister Ashwini
Vaishnaw and Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis launched the new
Pune-Danapur Amrit Bharat Express. The service, which begins at the Hadapsar
train station, has modern facilities, including general and non-AC sleeper
coaches, and is intended to improve interstate travel for lower and
middle-income travelers. “Connected by high-speed rail, the Mumbai-Pune
economic corridor will contribute to the entire tech space of India. With the
rapid growth of the data centre sector, Maharashtra is at the forefront of
building a comprehensive ecosystem for deep tech and electronics,” remarked Maharashtra
Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis during inauguration ceremony.
A daily train service between Pune and Sainagar Shirdi was
also established. According to officials, the Pune-Danapur Amrit Bharat Express
will leave Hadapsar railway station.
Schedule: 11431 (Pune to Danapur): Departs at 15:30 hrs and
arrives at 01:30 hrs. 11432 (Danapur to Pune): Departs at 03:30 hrs and arrives
at 11:05 hrs.
It connects Pune (Hadapsar) in Maharashtra to Danapur in Bihar, a distance of
around 1748 kilometers.
Travel time: The one-way travel takes around 34 hours.
Stoppages: The fast train stops at 19 stations en route.
The Amrit Bharat Express train provides amenities comparable
to those seen on Vande Bharat express trains. However, unlike the Vande Bharat,
it would be a non-AC service with both general and sleeper-class carriages.
In another event, during inauguration and stone plaque
unveiling of Jabil's new manufacturing facility at the hands of CM Devendra
Fadnavis and Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw. Maharashtra Chief Minister
Devendra Fadnavis said, “Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnav ji, I express my heartfelt
gratitude for the confidence you have expressed in appreciating the land
reforms undertaken by the Maharashtra government. We are committed to advancing
reforms for public welfare and development.” MLA Dilip Walse Patil, MLA
Dnyaneshwar Katke, Jabil's Executive Vice President and COO Andy Priestley,
Jabil Circuit India Pvt. Ltd.'s Managing Director B. N. Shukla, and other
dignitaries were present.
