New Delhi, 14 June (H.S.):

The Indian Youth Congress has announced that it will organise a “Mega Job Fair 2026” at Delhi’s Talka tora Stadium on June 19 to mark the birthday of Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi. The Congress party also accused the Central Government of failing to address unemployment and prevent recurring incidents of examination paper leaks.

The announcement was made during a press conference at the Congress headquarters, where Indian Youth Congress President Uday Bhanu Chib and Delhi Congress Organisation In-charge Anil Bhardwaj unveiled the official poster for the event.

Addressing the media, Chib said that around 150 companies are expected to participate in the job fair. Candidates will be interviewed based on their qualifications, and selected applicants will receive offer letters on the spot. He added that a dedicated helpline number would also be issued to assist participants and resolve any issues related to the employment fair.

Chib stated that the Mega Job Fair organised at Talka tora Stadium last year attracted nearly 18,000 registrations, with approximately 7,000 young people receiving job offers. Similar employment fairs had also been organised earlier in Jaipur and Patna, he noted.

Anil Bhardwaj claimed that around 3,500 young people secured employment on the very first day of last year’s job fair and expressed confidence that the number of successful placements would increase significantly this year.

The Youth Congress said the initiative aims to connect job seekers with potential employers and provide meaningful employment opportunities for young people amid growing concerns over unemployment in the country.
