Lucknow,

01 June (HS): Addressing meritorious students at a ceremony held at Lok Bhavan,

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that girls have scored more

than boys in the merit list. This is a positive sign. The Chief Minister said

that girls will progress through education, and the country and society will

progress.

Addressing

the meritorious students, the Chief Minister said that students should spend

minimal time on social media. Most facts on social media are false. Be sure to

read newspapers. Stay informed about the country and society. Stay informed

about your traditions, culture, heritage, and your surroundings.

Yogi

Adityanath said that we have a rich tradition of knowledge. Sa Vidya Ya

Vimuktyye, he said, Education can pave the way to liberation in our

lives. It can inspire us to face challenges. India's tradition has never

adopted an escapist approach. Ram became Ram when Guru Vashishtha, Sage

Vishwamitra, and Maharishi Valmiki came into his life. Krishna became Krishna

when Guru Sandipani came into his life.

The

Chief Minister said that India is respected in the world because we possess the

greatest heritage of knowledge. That is why India is called Vishwaguru.

Earlier, exams were rife with cheating in the state. In nine years, we have

ensured that exams are free of cheating in the state. Many innovations have

been made at the secondary education level. Today, exams are conducted on time

and results are declared on time. Schools have become spectacular. Be it

government intermediate colleges, aided schools under management system, or

Sanskrit schools, the government has made arrangements for grants for all these

schools.

Yogi

said that shortcuts are not the right path. The fruits of hard work in life are

never wasted. Society and the country also contribute to our success. We must

have the passion to do something for society. Secondary Education Minister

Gulab Devi and Lucknow Mayor Sushma Kharkwal were present on the occasion.
