
Hyderabad, June 1 (HS): The Malkajgiri Traffic Police have announced traffic restrictions in and around Secunderabad in view of Telangana Formation Day celebrations to be held at Parade Ground on June 2.
The restrictions will remain in force from 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy is scheduled to lead the official state celebrations at Parade Ground.
According to the police, commuters travelling from Begumpet towards Sangeeth Junction are advised to take the Paradise–Patny–Clock Tower route. Those proceeding from Begumpet to Trimulgherry may use the flyovers via St. John's Rotary, Shenoy Junction, AOC Centre and Kendriya Vidyalaya.
Traffic moving from Sangeeth Junction towards Panjagutta has been advised to take the route via Clock Tower, Patny, Ghasmandi, Karbala Maidan, Tank Bund, Khairatabad and Panjagutta.
Motorists travelling from Secunderabad towards Trimulgherry may proceed via Clock Tower, Sangeeth Junction, St. John's Rotary, Shenoy Junction, AOC Centre and Kendriya Vidyalaya.
Similarly, commuters heading from Secunderabad towards Bowenpally have been advised to take the route via Clock Tower, Patny, Paradise and CTO Junction.
Police said heavy vehicles, RTC buses and private buses should avoid the Parade Ground area during the celebrations. Only emergency vehicles will be permitted to pass through restricted zones during the period of traffic regulation.
The Traffic Police have appealed to commuters to plan their journeys in advance and follow diversion routes to avoid inconvenience.
