New Delhi, 07 May (H.S.): BJP National General Secretary Tarun Chugh targeted Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, accusing him of providing protection to anti-national forces.

In a statement issued on Thursday, Tarun Chugh stated that by blaming BJP for the Punjab blasts, Bhagwant Mann has tarnished the dignity of the Chief Minister's office. Making baseless bomb blast allegations against BJP without evidence amounts to spreading false information, which falls under criminal category. Chugh remarked that Mann's statement contradicts his own Director General of Police, who has indicated ISI and foreign network involvement, while the Chief Minister remains preoccupied with political agendas. The question is clear—Is the Chief Minister securing Punjab or providing political cover to anti-national forces?

He stated that Mann's remarks are not only defamatory but extremely dangerous. Such irresponsible accusations could create confusion, mistrust, and social unrest in Punjab. The Chief Minister has no right to jeopardize public order and national security for political gain. Chugh clarified that if Bhagwant Mann does not withdraw his statement and issue a public apology within 7 days, both criminal and civil legal actions will be initiated against him.
