
New Delhi, 07 May (H.S.): Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid homage to the courage, valor, and dedication of the Indian armed forces on the first anniversary of Operation Sindoor. He stated that one year ago, the Indian Army delivered a befitting response to the attack on innocent civilians in Pahalgam, demonstrating unparalleled courage, precision, and resolute determination.
In a message posted on social media today, the Prime Minister described Operation Sindoor as a symbol of India's firm policy against terrorism and its unwavering commitment to safeguarding national security. He emphasized that the operation showcased the professionalism, preparedness, and seamless coordination of the Indian armed forces to the world. PM Modi noted that it also highlighted the growing strength of the Atmanirbhar Bharat campaign in the defense sector, further fortifying the nation's security.
Prime Minister Modi shared a Sanskrit subhashita: Udeernamanaso yodha vahanaani cha bhaarat. Yasyaam bhavanti senaayaam dhruvam tasyaam jayam vadet. This translates to: O Bharat, in whose army there are warriors with exalted minds full of enthusiasm and courage, and whose vehicles are well-equipped and capable, victory is surely assured for that army.
He appealed to citizens to honor Operation Sindoor's success and the armed forces by setting the shared image as their display picture on social media platforms X, Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp.
