Bhubaneswar, 07 May (H.S.): The Odisha government is planning to launch a dedicated 24-hour spiritual television channel aimed at promoting and preserving the rich traditions and cultural heritage associated with Lord Jagannath.

Odisha Law Minister Prithviraj Harichandan said that preliminary discussions regarding the proposed channel have already been initiated. The initiative is intended to showcase and disseminate knowledge about the rituals, traditions, and spiritual practices linked to the Jagannath culture.

According to the minister, the proposed platform will serve as a medium to educate people about the various religious customs, ceremonies, and historical significance of Lord Jagannath’s traditions, thereby strengthening cultural awareness among devotees within and outside the state.

The government believes that the dedicated spiritual channel will help in preserving Odisha’s religious identity while also promoting its cultural heritage at a wider level.

Further details regarding the operational framework, content structure, and launch timeline of the channel are expected to be announced in the coming days.
