Lucknow,
06 May (HS): SP head Akhilesh Yadav criticized Union Home Minister Amit Shah on
Wednesday for the Punjab twin bombings, saying he should be held accountable
for the crimes. Yadav's comments came only hours after Punjab Chief Minister
Bhagwant Mann sparked a political firestorm by accusing the BJP for the blasts.
Speaking to reporters, Yadav stated, If a blast occurs, who should be
held accountable? It should be the country's home minister. The former
Uttar Pradesh chief minister also stated that the investigation into the Punjab
twin bombings will suffer the same fate as Pulwama and Pahalgam, alleging that
it was never known how they occurred.
And
you'll never find out what happened during the explosion. Did you learn about
Pulwama or Pahalgam? If you didn't know about Pulwama and Pahalgam, you wouldn't
know about the Punjab bombs, he claimed. On Tuesday night, explosions rang out
outside the BSF's Punjab Frontier headquarters in Jalandhar around 8 p.m.,
followed by another outside the Army cantonment area in Khasa, Amritsar, about
11 p.m. According to Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadav, the explosion was of mild
intensity, and no casualties were recorded. While no organization has claimed
credit, the DGP suspects that Pakistan's ISI is behind the attack.
