06 May (HS): In connection with the North Tech Symposium

2026—organized under the joint aegis of the Northern and Central Commands

of the Indian Army—Major General Gaurav Gautam, VSM, the Additional Director

General (ADG) of the NCC Directorate, Uttar Pradesh, arrived in Prayagraj. Upon

fulfilling his official military duties, he participated in an interactive

session with NCC cadets held at the NCC Group Headquarters, Prayagraj, thereby

instilling a profound spirit of national service among the youth.

In

his spirited and inspiring address, Major General Gaurav Gautam stated that the

NCC is not merely an organization, but a powerful pillar of nation-building—a

crucible where discipline, leadership, dedication, and patriotism are forged.

He urged the cadets to remain vigilant regarding future challenges and called

upon them to internalize the values acquired through the NCC in every sphere of

their lives.

Emphasizing

self-confidence, character building, discipline, higher education, leadership

capabilities, and social awareness as the foundational pillars of success, he

inspired the cadets to strive to become exemplary and responsible citizens. His

motivational words further intensified the enthusiasm, inner strength, and

passion for national service among the cadets present at the event.

On

this occasion, ADG Major General Gautam personally met and interacted with all

the NCC cadets, Junior Commissioned Officers (JCOs), soldiers, and officers,

thereby exemplifying the warmth inherent in military traditions and the

strength of effective leadership.

Following

the interactive session, he conducted a comprehensive inspection of the NCC

Group Headquarters, Prayagraj, attended by the Commanding Officers and

Permanent Instructional (PI) Staff of the 12 subordinate battalions. During the

inspection, while placing special emphasis on the quality of training, the

effective execution of activities, and the holistic development of the cadets,

he issued directives to ensure that the NCC Directorate, Uttar Pradesh, is

elevated to become the premier Directorate in the country through a concerted

focus on teamwork, innovation, and rigorous training. During this visit, he

conducted a comprehensive review of the activities of various units in

consultation with the NCC Prayagraj Group Commander, Brigadier Upendra Singh

Kandil, and other officers, and issued necessary directives.

In

his address, Group Commander Brigadier Upendra Singh Kandil stated that such

interactive sessions reinforce the spirit of Nation First among the

youth and empower them—mentally, physically, and morally—thereby laying the

foundation for a bright future for the nation.

At

the conclusion of the event, Major General Gaurav Gautam interacted with all

officers, JCOs, soldiers, cadets, and the civilian staff of the NCC Group

Headquarters, Prayagraj, to boost their morale, and conveyed a message urging

everyone to remain steadfast on the path of duty, discipline, and national
