New Delhi, 06 May (H.S.):
To digitally empower the country's health sector, the Ministry of Health has launched the Swasth Bharat Portal. This initiative was unveiled during the 10th National Summit on Innovation and Inclusivity. Developed under the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission, the portal integrates with ABHA to ensure secure exchange of patients' health data.
According to the Health Ministry, the portal will consolidate disparate systems from various health programs into a single platform. Previously, multiple apps and portals operated separately, leading to data duplication and time wastage. The Ministry stated that through Swasth Bharat Portal, all data entry will be possible at one place, eliminating the need for multiple logins, and simplifying reporting and monitoring.
ASHA workers, ANMs, CHOs, and medical officers will no longer need to work on separate systems. All tasks can now be managed from one platform, saving both time and effort.
The Ministry noted that this will result in 20-30% reduction in infrastructure costs, 20-40% decrease in data entry and staff duplication, and faster decision-making processes.
According to the Ministry, the portal represents a crucial step towards integrating India's digital health system, enabling better health services and data-driven decisions in the future.
