06 May (HS): General Manager, North Central Railway, Naresh Pal Singh inspected

the Dadri-Tundla section today on Wednesday. During the inspection, Divisional

Railway Manager Prayagraj Division, Rajneesh Agarwal, Secretary General

Manager, Akhil Shukla, Senior Divisional Operations Manager Dr. Shivam Sharma,

Senior Divisional Commercial Manager, Hari Mohan, Senior Divisional Engineer

IV, Abhilay Kumar, Deputy Chief Project Manager, Gati Shakti Unit, Deepak

Bhardwaj and other divisional officials were present. During the inspection,

the General Manager first took stock of the various development works going on

at Dadri Railway Station.

During

the inspection, he reviewed in detail the necessary arrangements and plans for

the construction of additional rail lines, the operation of more trains, and

their maintenance, keeping in mind future needs. The General Manager also held

detailed discussions with the concerned officials regarding the increased train

operations and the expansion of maintenance facilities at Dadri station. Continuing

his inspection, the General Manager inspected Khurja Railway Station. It is

known that Khurja Station is being developed under the Amrit Station Scheme.

The General Manager thoroughly inspected the ongoing development work and

reviewed the quality and progress of the construction work.

During

the inspection, the General Manager directed that the maximum portion of the

platform be kept open and organized for passenger convenience and movement, and

that various establishments and other structures be developed behind the

platform to provide better passenger amenities. In this regard, he directed the

concerned officials to ensure that all construction work is completed in a

timely and quality manner, in accordance with the prescribed standards and

approved plan.

On

this occasion, the General Manager directed the officials to take forward the

works related to passenger facilities, operational capacity and development of

infrastructure on priority basis, so that the needs of increasing rail traffic

can be met smoothly in the future.

As

part of his ongoing inspection, the General Manager conducted a detailed

inspection of Aligarh Railway Station. During this inspection, he observed the

progress of various development projects underway at the station and thoroughly

reviewed the possibilities and plans for station expansion, keeping in mind the

growing passenger and operational needs in the future.

The

General Manager closely inspected the station premises, passenger amenities,

and operational arrangements and discussed in detail with the concerned

officials various aspects of infrastructure development and station expansion.

He directed the officials to prepare a comprehensive and well-organized action

plan for station expansion in accordance with future needs, so that better

facilities can be provided to passengers and operational capacity can be

increased.

During

the inspection, General Manager Naresh Pal Singh also reviewed the water

coolers and water vending machines available at the stations for passenger

convenience, keeping in mind the current summer weather. He instructed the

concerned officials to ensure adequate and uninterrupted availability of

drinking water for passengers. In this context, the General Manager met with

members of the Manav Upkar Sansthan, a voluntary organization providing free

cold water to passengers at Aligarh Railway Station, commended their service

and encouraged them. He also met with members of the Mentally Retarded and

Disabled Empowerment Institute at Hathras Railway Station and praised their

social contributions.
