
Guwahati, 06 May (HS): The swearing-in ceremony of the new Chief Minister of Assam is scheduled to be held on May 12 in a grand event at Khanapara, marking the formal formation of the new government following the Assembly elections.
According to official sources, the ceremony will be organised on a large scale at Khanapara, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi expected to be present on the occasion along with other senior leaders.
Ahead of the event, two central observers will arrive in Assam on May 9 to oversee the selection of the leader of the BJP Legislative Party.
Senior BJP leaders J. P. Nadda and Nayab Singh Saini will play a key role in the process of electing the leader of the legislative party, who will subsequently take oath as the Chief Minister.-----------
