Lucknow,

30 May (HS): UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath pays public condolences on the

death anniversary of former UP Chief Minister and Union Minister Veer Bahadur

Singh on Saturday. CM Yogi often respects Singh's legacy, honoring his

leadership and services to the state. CM

Yogi Adityanath frequently uses social media and other venues to pay tribute to

Veer Bahadur Singh, emphasizing his Gorakhpur background and standing as a

popular populist figure. CM Yogi has

already praised Singh (who served as CM for Congress from 1985 to 1988) for

making critical administrative choices that permitted the opening of locks at

the Ram Janmabhoomi monument in Ayodhya. Veer Bahadur Singh was influential in

the development of the Purvanchal area and also served as Union Communications

Minister under Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi before his tragic death in 1989.

CM

Yogi remarked in a post on X, “On the death anniversary of Vir Bahadur Singh,

former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh and former Union Minister, who gave a

new direction to the development of the state, humble tribute. His leadership

is an excellent example of development-oriented thinking, administrative

efficiency, and dedication to public welfare.”
