Lucknow,

30 May (HS): Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath routinely praises the

accomplishments of Hindi journalism and emphasizes its 200-year heritage. He

regards independent media as a defender of democracy, while the UP government

operates a number of projects to ensure the safety and well-being of

journalists. Hindi journalism (with the

release of Udant Martand) has reached a historic milestone of 200 years. CM

Yogi has defined this voyage as a metaphor of societal awakening, linguistic

development, and democracy. Yogi Adityanath believes that the goal of media

should be public interest, but he also warns against commercialization and a

problem of legitimacy.

CM

Yogi mentioned in a post on X, “Hindi journalism, as a powerful expression of

public awakening, public opinion, and public sentiment, has always played the

role of guiding society. Heartiest congratulations and best wishes to all the

truthful, people-oriented, and nation-oriented journalist colleagues on Hindi

Journalism Day. May all of you continue to strengthen the pro-people and

impartial character of Hindi journalism, continue to fortify democracy—this is

my heartfelt wish.”
