Mau,

29 May (HS): Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath launched a scathing

attack on the Samajwadi Party from Gandhi Maidan in Madhuban, Mau district, on

Friday, saying that the then-government had surrendered to the mafia during the

Mau riots in 2005. He said that even religious events like Ramlila were

obstructed at that time, and the general public was forced to live in an

atmosphere of fear.

Referring

to the law and order situation under the Samajwadi Party government, the Chief

Minister said that earlier, sisters, daughters, and businessmen were forced to

return home before dusk. If they were late, families would be filled with

worry. There was a reign of terror among street criminals, but today the rule

of law has been established in the state, and strict action is being taken

against criminals.

Chief

Minister Yogi said that his government has taught a lesson to those who disrupt

religious events. He claimed that today no one can compromise the safety of

daughters and businessmen in the state. He said that the state government is

continuously moving forward on the policy of development, trust and good

governance. During this, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath inaugurated and laid

the foundation stone of 124 development projects worth more than Rs 392 crore

at Maa Sheetla Devi Dham, Mau. Energy Minister A.K. Sharma, Prison Minister

Dara Singh Chauhan, Panchayati Raj Minister, SBSP chief Om Prakash Rajbhar, MLA

Ram Vilas Chauhan, MLC Vijay Lal Rajbhar and many senior leaders were present

at the program.
