Bhubaneswar, 29 May (H.S.): Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to attend the celebrations marking the completion of two years of the BJP government in Odisha, as announced by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi during an event late Thursday evening.
In his address to the gathering in Bhubaneswar, the Chief Minister revealed that he personally invited Prime Minister Modi to the celebrations and received a positive response on Wednesday.
I cordially invited the Prime Minister to attend the second anniversary celebrations of the BJP government in Odisha, and we received a favorable reply yesterday, Majhi stated.
The specific date for the Prime Minister's visit to Odisha has yet to be confirmed.
Given the global energy crisis triggered by the ongoing conflict in the Middle East, the state government has decided to host the celebrations in a simple and modest manner.
According to the Chief Minister's Office (CMO), a series of programs will be organized from June 12 to June 21 as part of the anniversary festivities. The government will also launch a special media campaign to showcase its achievements and the major public welfare initiatives undertaken in the past two years.
The celebrations will feature thematic events that highlight Odisha's development journey, opportunities across various sectors, and future plans aligned with the 'Viksit Odisha 2036' vision.
Throughout the 10-day program, state ministers will hold press conferences to present the accomplishments of their respective departments. Additionally, various departments will distribute booklets and promotional materials to raise public awareness about government schemes and achievements.
